The taste experience of Biltong

Millions of people experience Biltong as the most enjoyable of all the different types of dried meat, especially for the coriander that provides the delicious, recognizable taste.

It is almost impossible to describe the taste and experience of Biltong.
How do you describe the experience of a child who has played outside on a hot day and then gets a nice ice cream from her mother?
Or a man who has worked hard in the garden on Saturday and then sits on the terrace of his garden at the end of the day enjoying a beer?

Biltong should not be “tasted”, but you should experience it in the atmosphere of the conviviality of a party or enjoying the TV. Biltong can be eaten when you're on the road or just feel like something tasty.

Biltong was once developed by the Dutch from the original Dutch culture and taste experience. The word "bil" does not occur in the African language. Today the average South African no longer knows where the word "bil" of biltong comes from. In the Netherlands we know what that word means and that it indicates which part of the cow the meat comes from. Because biltong was developed by the Dutch, the Dutch generally like it too!

Unlike South Africa, our Sunbury biltong has no flavor enhancers, no colourants, fragrances or preservatives. Sunbury Biltong is completely free of artificial additives and is 100% natural. It is high in protein and ready to eat.

Storage advice:

Biltong is a dried meat product and can in principle be kept outside the refrigerator, but it is recommended to keep it refrigerated and it has a limited shelf life. If it is kept outside the refrigerator, it should not be placed on top of each other, and in a place where the air circulates or is ventilated.

mold:

Biltong is sensitive to a harmless spring fungus that you also find on cheese. As soon as you find traces of mold on the biltong, wipe it off immediately with a clean cloth sprinkled with vinegar.

Ingredients:

2½ kg of beef meat is used for 1 kg of end product
sea salt, vinegar, coriander, sugar, pepper

Energy 845 kj / 200 kcal, fats 4.8 g, of which saturated fatty acids 1.8 g, carbohydrates 0.2 g, of which sugars 0.2 g, proteins 39 g, salt 4.7 g.
